A large part of building a base of repeat customers is managing your reputation. It doesn’t matter how special your breeds are, how delicious your meats are or how excellent your prices are, one bad review can hurt.
Follow these simple tips:
First and foremost: be honest. If a customer discovers a discrepancy in your description and the actual product, you are unlikely to receive a good review. Be sure to clearly state the facts about your animals. Be honest about the food they eat and and medical care you give them.
Be a good steward. Take good care of the environment your animals live in. Adhere to good husbandry, feeding or supplementing practices. Remember, you reap what you sow.; you won’t pick peaches from a cactus seed. Take care of your animals and the end product will speak for itself.
Be Attentive and Punctual
Keep track of your Action Center and complete actions in a timely manner. Customers consider the time between when the order is placed and when the drop-off is made. Be sure to log in to your dashboard and watch for any notifications.
Some customers may want to visit your farm. Will you allow them? A tour of your farm and explanation of farming practices builds your credibility as an honest farmer and good steward. People choose you over the grocery store because they want to know where their food is coming from.
Customers will ask questions. Don’t expect them to know all about species and breeds. Respond with kindness and understanding. Educate them to make informed decisions and have realistic expectations. Consider regularly posting information and photos of your animals, farm and even family on your Grazr Profile to build your reputation.
